Powder Brows

Allow 90 minutes, consultation essential $690

If you are someone who prefers a fuller brow with a more defined ‘makeup look’, the powder brow mimics the appearance of natural brow make-up. Using a machine and permanent make-up techniques, pigments are shaded into the skin for a defined soft shape. Ideal for oily skin or sparse brows.

Pre-treatment:

A consultation is essential for all brow tattooing services. During the consultation, your therapist will discuss and recommend which type of brow tattoo and shape would best suit you. Your brows will be mapped out and drawn in the shape that the tattoo will be. You will be colour matched with the tattoo pigments to determine which colour will suit your brows. You will be asked to pre-numb your brows with EMLA (available at pharmacies) 1 hour before your appointment time.

What to expect:

Your therapist will begin mapping out brows as agreed on at the consultation. Depending on the method chosen, your therapist will then begin Microblading or Powdering your brows. Depending on your pain threshold, the sensation can be likened to the end of pointed tweezers being dragged along the skin or “etched”. You hear a scratchy sound, but the anaesthetic will numb the area for added comfort during the procedure

Aftercare:

Immediately after your procedure, brows will appear darker and more defined and this will last up to 2 weeks. Your brow tattoo can appear more solid, hair strokes may seem to disappear, and it may look wet and painted on, this is normal. Around days 4-5 you may experience scabbing and your brows may look dry and flakey. Do not pick your scabs, let come fall off naturally. If scabbing gets picked off prematurely missing hair stokes will result and cause patchy brows.
Your brow tattoo will take up to 6-8 weeks to fully heal. Do not expect your brow tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session. This is a 2 step, sometimes multiple step process.
